Childhood
Childhood is the age span ranging from birth to adolescence. According to Piaget's theory of cognitive development, childhood consists of two stages: preoperational stage and concrete operational stage. In developmental psychology, childhood is divided up into the developmental stages of toddlerhood (learning to walk), early childhood (play age), middle childhood (school age), and adolescence (puberty through post-puberty). Various childhood factors could affect a person's attitude formation.
Development
Development or developing may refer to:
Playwork
Playwork is the work of creating and maintaining spaces for children to play. The theory and practice of playwork recognises that children's play should ideally be "freely chosen, personally directed and intrinsically motivated."
Childhood
Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them.
Psalms. CXXVII. 5.
Childhood
There is nothing fine about being a child: it is fine, when we are old, too look back to when we were children.
Cesare Pavese, This Business of Living, 1945-09-06
Childhood
They are idols of hearts and of households;
They are angels of God in disguise;
His sunlight still sleeps in their tresses,
His glory still gleams in their eyes;
Those truants from home and from Heaven
They have made me more manly and mild;
And I know now how Jesus could liken
The kingdom of God to a child.
Charles M. Dickinson, The Children.
